Odisha has conducted CPET for the first time for admission in PG courses offered by 70 colleges and state public universities. It was held from October 12 to October 22 at 28 examination centers across the state.
A total of 55,746 candidates, including six Kovid-19 positive students, took the CPET-2020 examination out of 62,190 registered candidates. The department has published a list of toppers in 83 courses. Merit list has been released for 52,780 candidates.
According to the data, girls have topped 64 percent of PG admission subjects, while boys have topped in 36 percent subjects. After the highest percentage of Khusi Aggarwal, Sudipta Pattanayak (Sanskrit) followed by 90.13 percent followed by Ipsita Mahapatra (Geology) 89.97 percent, Brititpa Naik’s (Life Science Topper) 89.88 percent and others.
“Student’s option and qualification details are available in university / college wise login for further purpose. Students have provided their choices (eg 1, 2, 3) in order of preference. Colleges and universities based on their merit list Will draw. Options provided by the students, “an official statement said.
The department had asked the candidates to upload their graduation / equivalent marks in the Student Educational Management System (SEMS) portal by November 17 before preparing the final state merit list. A total of 2,966 candidates have not uploaded their graduation marks list.
The dateline was changed for the third time because students could not manage to upload marks due to the delay in publication of graduation (UG) final year / semester results by many colleges and universities.
There are 14,401 PG seats in 70 colleges and universities in the state. All admission process for PG courses will be completed by 21 December.
