Civil Services Exam: UPSC’s ‘Overseas’ students get big shock at SC, no extra chance

Civil Services Examination: Due to the corona epidemic, every sector suffered huge losses from education to the economy. In such a situation, now UPSC Civil Service candidates have also received a big blow from the Supreme Court. In fact, the SC rejected the petition filed on behalf of the candidates, requesting that they give another chance to the students who lost their last chance in the civil service exam in 2020 due to the global epidemic. That means it is now clear that these candidates can no longer write the test.

Candidates stated in the petition that due to the corona, very difficult conditions arose in the preparation of the exams, thereby wasting their final performance. The foreign candidates demanded in the petition that they be given another chance in such circumstances. The petition was rejected by the Supreme Court. Due to this decision of the court, there is a drowsiness among the foreign candidates.

Prior to this, the Center had also filed a complaint against it. The Center was of the view that the Center had told the Supreme Court on February 9 that it was against relaxation of the age limit for candidates, including students who missed out on the last chance. Giving another chance to such students this year will discriminate against other candidates.
