Armenia and Azerbaijan on Sunday accused each other of violating the ceasefire in the disputed area of Nagorno Karabakh. The two countries agreed to implement a ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh region from 12 noon on Saturday. The BBC quoted the Armenian Defense Ministry as saying that Azerbaijan had fired artillery shells and rockets four minutes after the ceasefire was enforced at 12 noon on Saturday.
Ministry spokesman Shushan Stephen tweeted- Our enemy fired rockets from 12.04am to 2.45pm (local time) to the north and from 2.20-2.45pm to the south. Azerbaijan attacked south of Nagorno-Karbakh on Sunday morning. People were killed on both sides.
On Saturday, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev accused Armenia of damaging more than 2,000 homes in Azerbaijan.
