Schools are scheduled to open on Monday. According to the officials of the state education department, only students from class 6 to 12 will attend the schools and a standard operating procedure (SOP) has been issued in this regard.
Officials said that students of classes 6, 8 and 12 will attend the teaching on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and the remaining three days are reserved for classes 7,9 and 11.
“Not all students will come to the schools at one time and they will attend the schools in different batches in the morning and afternoon shifts. The first batch and second batch students will be judged by the head of the institution.
Officials said, “The first batch of students will arrive at 8 am and will remain till 12 noon and the second batch will arrive at 12.30 pm and will remain till 3.30 pm.”
School officials have been asked to follow social disturbances and other precautionary measures against Kovid-19.
The SOP also includes a staggered timetable for general colleges, engineering colleges, polytechnic institutes and IITs and the final decision will be taken by the college authorities.
However, the online mode of education will continue for those students who prefer to attend online classes rather than going to schools physically.
The SOP said that all hostel facilities in schools and colleges will remain suspended until further orders.
It states that educational institutions should keep cleanliness on every weekend, preferably every Sunday.
The cooks and non-teaching staff of all educational institutions and the cooks and assistants engaged in preparing and serving mid-day meals between students should be medically tested for Kovid-19 after 30 days and for pathological matters. Those with the test should be done immediately.
